**The Northrop Grumman Accounting Services team is looking to hire an Accountant (level 02) or Principal Accountant (level 03). The position reports directly to the Manager of Enterprise General Accounting in the Irving, TX office. This role can be supported virtually, but the chosen candidate must have the ability to travel to one of our office locations in Redondo Beach, CA or Irving, TX or Falls Church, VA for in person meetings/events.**
**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:**
+ Support month end close activities including reviewing trial balances, preparing journal entries, loading SAP general ledger data to FDMEE/Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), reviewing FDMEE files to identify SAP table or other loading errors, ensuring errors are corrected and data are reconciled between SAP and HFM, preparing HFM journal entries as needed and clearing HFM check errors,
+ Prepare daily cash report and monthly disbursement forecast,
+ Prepare account reconciliations as assigned in Blackline and resolve reconciling issues,
+ Support quarterly and annual supplemental reporting activities including preparing QES and YES schedules as assigned, collecting schedules and supporting backups prepared by others, loading data from QES/YES schedules to HFM, and validating data loaded and ensuring no variances,
+ Coordinate, prepare and submit US Census Bureau data,
+ Provide audit support to sector business partners,
+ Respond to sector business partner ad hoc data requests, inquiries, and problem resolution,
+ Act as the primary point of contact for the companies as assigned, ensuring positive customer interfaces and good written and verbal communications,
+ Participate in special projects as needed,
+ Strong attention to detail,
+ Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
**This role can be filled at a level 02 or level 03 depending on the candidates experience and ability to meet the below qualifications.**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Accountant Candidate (level 02): Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with a minimum 3 years accounting or finance work experience OR Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of accounting or finance work experience
+ Principal Accountant Candidate (level 03): Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with a minimum 6 years accounting or finance work experience OR Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of accounting or finance work experience
+ Understanding of accounting principles, practices and standards
+ Strong Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word), written, and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to travel to one of our office locations in Redondo Beach, CA or Irving, TX or Falls Church, VA for in person meetings/events
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Working knowledge of SAP,
+ Experience completing tasks Blackline,
+ Demonstrate skills of being detail-oriented,
+ Demonstrate ability to manage multiple assignments and tight deadlines,
+ Experience with ERP implementation and project management,
+ Demonstrate ability to assess processes and support improvement, efficiency, and harmonization strategies, and
+ Principal Accountant (level 03) candidates should have previous lead experience.
Salary Range: $58,000.00 - $87,000.00Salary Range 2: $71,400.00 - $107,000.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
