Job PREREQUISITES

Position Summary

The Fixed Asset Staff Accountant is responsible for all accounting related processes related to the fixed assets of assigned programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.

• Record fixed asset purchases, transfers and disposals into the accounting system.
• Track fixed assets that are work in process.
• Reconcile the fixed assets sub ledger balance against the general ledger for assigned region.
• Prepare the monthly depreciation expense by asset class.
• Prepare monthly Property, Plant and Equipment (PP&E) roll-forward of fixed assets.
• Assist the Tax Department with the tax treatment of various fixed assets.
• Preform fixed asset related analyses as requested.
• Assist with projects and duties as assigned.
