Our client is leading the legacy of creating extraordinary places to live, work and shop. Join their vision and team!

This is a direct hire **Project Accountant** position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

**Details:**


+ Monday Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm (Hybrid role after training)

+ $65K to $95K

+ Office in River North, Properties in Chicago area


**Position Information:**


+ Maintain an assigned portfolio of property management and/or development projects

+ Bank reconciliations

+ General ledgers

+ Balance Sheets

+ Journal entries

+ Accruals/prepaids/depreciation

+ Resident ledger transactions

+ Wire transactions

+ Intercompany banking activity

+ Bank account setups

+ Coordinating with lenders

+ Preparing financial reports

+ Responsible for overseeing the AP/AR bookkeepers cash management of your portfolio

+ Ability to work with other internal and external business partners /vendors


**Required Experience:**


+ 5+ years accounting experience with focus in Project Construction and Property Operating Accounting

+ Experience in managing a portfolio of multiple projects/properties

+ Experienced in Appfolio, Skyline, or comparable accounting software

+ Expert in Excel and Outlook

+ Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail

+ Excellent organizational skills

+ Expert communication skills in verbal, written, and presenting

+ Ability to work independently, self-motivate, and trouble-shoot

+ Excellent customer service abilities and focus
